It is easy to feel like you are not doing enough. As you look at the success of your friends, discouragement might creep in. You might start to feel purposeless and meaningless. You might worry that you are not impacting other lives for the Kingdom.
However, these thoughts are lies from the enemy, trying to tear you down. You must not listen when the devil whispers, "It doesn't matter. Give up." If you feel as though your life is insignificant, remember the parable of the talents from Matthew 25. God has given each of His children different gifts to steward wisely.

No matter how small and insignificant the task in front of you might seem, remember that God has blessed you with the privilege of it, so joyful complete it for His glory. Look forward to the day when Christ says, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" (Matthew 25:20-21).
Be faithful in what God has given you, and steward it wisely. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). Show that you are trustworthy, and God will entrust you with more (1 Cor. 4:2). “The one who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much” (Luke 16:10).
Moreover, set an example for your brothers and sisters in Christ through using your spiritual gifts. "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12).

At salvation, God blessed you with a spiritual gift to use for His glory and the edification of the saints. Do not compare yourself to others because God blesses His children differently, and everyone is necessary for the good of the body of Christ. 1 Peter 4:10 says, "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."
So, when you become discouraged, remember that God uses even your most minor tasks for His glory if you allow Him to work through you. Be faithful.
