Welcome Friends!

Hello!! Thank you so much for visiting my little corner of the internet.

I am Elisabeth Adams, the founder and artist behind Artist For His Glory. I recently graduated with my Bachelor's in Studio and Digital Art. When I am not running my shop and creating art, I love gardening, reading, and exploring new hobbies. My inspiration for art comes from faith, literature, and nature. Aside from my creative life, I treasure spending time with my family and friends, making lifelong memories.

I am so glad you are here, and I hope my small business brings you a glimmer of joy!

I have always been drawn towards beauty, especially in nature, and love capturing it, whether through photography, journaling, or (my personal favorite) painting. Since I love spending time out in God's creation, sunsets, plants, mountains, and flowers are often the primary subject in my sketchbook.

a few fun facts:

+ I treasure moments in nature, such as savoring a sunset or long walks on the beach.

+ I am an introvert at heart, so home is my happy and safe space.

+ I love to garden, sew, bake, and enjoy all things cozy when I'm not in my art studio.

+ I am the most avid reader, so I am currently building my own mini library with the most enchanting books.

+ Literary characters are some of my imaginary best friends ;)

Artist Statement

My creative journey started when I was a little girl, making mud pies outside, playing with paint on paper, and doodling in my Bible at church. Eventually I fell in love with hand-lettering Scripture and discovered my passion for connecting spiritual beliefs and beauty together through artistic storytelling.

As an artist, I paint a world from my imagination that mirrors our own world while also reflecting on what is to come. I am driven by the hope of eternity with Christ in the New Creation, where He will make all things new. My desire is that all my art displays the abundant life that is found in Christ if we turn from our sins and believe in Him for salvation.

As I live in this dark world, I believe God has called me to take part in His work of restoration and reversing the curse through the art I create here and now. With every piece, little glimpses of hope, magic, and nostalgia come together to convey the beauty of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I enjoy exploring all mediums of art, but I am often drawn back to the gentle techniques of building up layers and details with watercolor, gouache, and oil painting. Over the years, I have developed a whimsical illustration style with bright colors and soft brushstrokes that evoke a sense of childlike wonder. I take inspiration from flowers, sunsets, and landscapes combining them with the truth found in Scripture, hymns, and literature to create heartfelt artwork.

With ceramics, I throw on the wheel delightful and functional pieces of pottery that bring a glimmer of joy to people’s hearts as they use them. Through the stories, ideas, and imagery in my work, I love providing art that resonates with people and fills them with the familiar feeling of coming home. I hope to bring the magic of fairytales to life as I highlight the beauty in the ordinary.

"But we have this treasure in

to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us."

Artist For His Glory

After much encouragement from friends and family, Artist For His Glory officially started in 2019 when I began sharing my art on social media and opened an Etsy shop. Over the years, I have been blessed to sell on Etsy, build up a community through Patreon, and participate in local artwork markets. I am so thankful for all the ways God has allowed me to create for Him, and I pray that my art will continue to glorify God and inspire others.
